Taking The Next Step of Faith Together

The Bible uses the illustration of a race to describe the Christian life.  In that race, the runner must start the race by giving their lives to Jesus Christ, but it is not the start that counts, it's the finish!  In order to be pleasing to the Lord, we must finish well.  Today, many Christians are not finishing well because they have stopped taking steps toward the finish line.  For whatever reason, either they have become comfortable in their Christianity or disgruntled with church, they are standing in their tracks.  Regardless of how long one has been a Christian, he or she must continue to take steps toward the finish line.  But we do not have to do this alone; Jesus gave us the church.  The Church is designed to help individual Christians make it to the finish line.  Robinwood focuses on helping people "Take the Next Step" toward Christ.
Let me invite you to Take Your Next Step of Faith with Robinwood.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updated March 19, 2020

Church family,

We have been monitoring very closely the regulations regarding social and community gatherings. At noon today, March 19, Governor Abbot announced an Executive Order (No. GA-08) that prohibits social gatherings of larger than 10 people. According to John M. Litzler (Director, Church Law Division, Christian Unity Ministries), this Executive Order “supersedes previous orders and preempts the city ordinances regarding social/public/mass gatherings.” The Executive Order goes into effect Friday, March 20, at midnight through April 3 at midnight.

Our intentions coming into this week were to try and meet if it all possible this upcoming Sunday, March 22. However, in order to honor governmental authority (Romans 13:1), and to love our neighbor (Matthew 22:39) by minimizing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, we have made the difficult decision to cancel both Sunday morning English and Spanish services while the Executive Order is in effect. All English and Spanish midweek activities will also be canceled while the Executive Order is in effect. Please also note that D.NOW will be postponed to a future date. We will continue to monitor the situation as it changes from week to week and update you via our website and social media outlets.

We WILL have an online service for you this Sunday, March 22, and future Sundays will be online as long as the Executive Order is in effect. We are working on ways to make this a live feed so stay tuned to our website and social media as to how you can access our online service. We will provide online services in both English and Spanish. As a reminder, giving is still very crucial in order for us to minister to a lost world who needs Jesus Christ. Online giving is available at robinwoodbc.org or you can mail a check to our church office at 111 E. Stark Rd. Seagoville, TX 75159.

Although we have made changes to how we can gather and minister to our community, opportunities for kingdom work still abound. Please be mindful how God might use you in these upcoming days as the greatest question for humanity still needs to be answered, “What must I do to be saved?” (Acts 16:30). Church family, we have that answer in Jesus Christ. Furthermore, we are in the process of putting together a Care Team in order to assist our members during this difficult time. If you have any needs that we can assist you with, please contact Dee Dreyer at 972-476-6712. Pray that God will grant us wisdom as we seek to be faithful to Jesus Christ and serve His people.

Jesus is everything!

Bro. John
